Well I’ve finally done it.
After bumping last weeks long run to Labor Day, and keeping my schedule this week, I crossed the 50 mile week threshold. My previous long week milestone was when I ran 40 in training for Pittsburgh.
The best part is I feel great, and have no signs of issues in my feet that started about 3 weeks ago.
Last week went well too, but work and life got in the way of hitting each run during the week. Thanks to Labor Day, I had time to knock out a hilly 18 on Monday.
My mid week runs of 5, 5, & 5 went well, although I was still sore from 18 on Monday. The rest day on Friday really helped, and I went out and hit my pace goal in my pace 8 on Saturday. My average ended up fast, but mostly after running a sub 9:00 mile for lap 8.
Sundays run called for 13, but I stopped after 10. This was a long week, and I have 20 staring me in the face at the Erie Marathon next weekend. I want to be as fresh as possible!
